100 years of aluminum packaging
An aluminum foil is aluminum rolled up to thickness 0,2 mm. It can be found literally in any home: sparkling and silvery. It is impossible to imagine how without this product it was possible: to keep food fresh, cook barbecue, bake potatoes in their skins. At the table you encounter a pack of butter in foil and cover yogurt. In the bathroom, almost all creams and lotions are also in aluminum packaging. Interesting, the first time was the aluminum foil in the packaging 1911 year - more 100 years ago, when it replaced the tin foil /1/.

Packaging properties of aluminum foil
The main property of the aluminum foil is, that it serves as a reliable barrier. Even the thinnest aluminum foil just thick 6 micrometers - thinner than a human hair - provides protection against light, oxygen, humidity, bacteria and unwanted odors. Therefore, food and medicine in the aluminum packaging significantly increase their shelf life. Scientific studies have shown the thickness of aluminum foil 6 micrometers (0.006 mm) can be considered an absolute barrier.
Quickly gains and gives off heat
Aluminum foil conducts heat very quickly. This is an important advantage of it, for example, sterilization of milk, which was then a long shelf life fresh even without refrigeration. Rapid heat dissipation also reduces the process cooling for storage products.
Ideal dactile material
Aluminum foil is extremely easy and can easily take various forms and develop without any elastic recoil. This makes it an ideal packaging material for products such as butter.
Bright and attractive
Aluminum foil can be produced with varying trim - sparkling and matte. It can be painted with paints and varnishes, give it a silvery surface of different texture - corrugated, ribbed or perfectly smooth. This foil is suitable for all printing methods and techniques and therefore easy to make packaged products bright and attractive.
Cooking, frying and baking
With aluminum foil can be boiled, broil and bake in microwave oven, as in a conventional oven.

1 Classification of food aluminum foils
1.1 According to the manufacturing accuracy, foil is divided into the following types:
H - normal accuracy;
P - increased accuracy;
The - high precision.
1.2 According to the condition of the material, foil is divided into the following types:
M - soft;
T - firm.
1.3 According to the condition of the treated surface, foil is divided into the following types:
FG - smooth;
FL - varnished on one side;
FL - lacquered on both sides;
FTL - varnished with thermovarnishes;
FO - painted with colored varnishes or paints;
FP - printed;
FPL - printed on the front side and varnished on the back;
FPTL - printed on the front side and varnished with thermal varnishes on the back side;
FLTL - ground under printing on the obverse and the reverse side Thermovarnish.
If the foil is embossed, then added to the above notation symbol "TC".
2 Range of food aluminum foil
2.2 foil width - from 15 by 1500 mm.
2.3 Foil winding - on metal bushings (spools) with an inner diameter 34-36, 50-52, 68-70, 75-77 and 150-153.
2.4 The outer diameter of the foil rolls - from 100 by 800 mm.

3 The chemical composition of food aluminum foil
3.1 Foil is made:
1) from aluminum grades AD, AD0 and AD1 GOST 4784-97;
2) made of aluminum grades A6, A5 and A0 GOST 11069;
3) from aluminum alloys АЖ0.6; АЖ0,8 and АЖ1 with chemical composition, indicated in the table 2;
4) made of aluminum alloys 8011, 8011A, 1145 and 1050 with the chemical composition, indicated in the table 3.
