Aluminum tape according to GOST 13726-97

Aluminum tapes are made in accordance with GOST 13726-97 “Tapes from aluminum and aluminum alloys”. This standard is quite large and hard to read.. 1 Classification of aluminum tapes according to GOST 13726-97

The tapes are subdivided into:
– by the manufacturing method;
– by the state of the material;
– by manufacturing accuracy by thickness.
1.1 Methods for making aluminum strips:

a) unclad - without additional designation;
b) clad:
1) with technological plating – B;
2) with normal plating - A.
1.2 Material condition of aluminum strips:
a) without heat treatment - without additional designation;
b) annealed - M;
c) quarter-hardened – H1;
d) semi-standard – H2;
e) three-quarter-cut - H3;
e) hardened - H;
1.3 Thickness accuracy:
a) with asymmetric deviations in thickness:
1) normal accuracy - no additional designation;
2) increased accuracy - P;
b) with symmetrical deviations in thickness - C.

2 Aluminum and aluminum alloys for the manufacture of tapes

Tapes are made from:
a) aluminum grades A7, a6, A5, A0 GOST 11069-2001;
b) aluminum grades AD0, AD1, AD00, AD GOST 4784-97;
c) aluminum alloys MM, D12, AMC, AMCs, AMg2, AMg3, AMg5, AMg6, AB, D1, D16, B95, 1915 GOST 4784-97;
d) aluminum alloy V95-1 in accordance with GOST 1131-76.

3 Plating of aluminum strips according to GOST 21631-76

3.1 For plating the sheets of aluminum alloy D1, D16 and AMg6 use aluminum with the following chemical composition:
aluminum – no less 99,30;
iron - no more 0,30 %;
silicon - not more 0,30 %;
copper - no more 0,02 %;
manganese - not more 0,025 %;
Zinc - no more 0,1 %;
Titanium - no more 0,15 %;
magnesium - less than 0,05 %;
other impurities, each - no more than 0,02 %.
3.2 For cladding sheets of aluminum alloys B95 and B95-1, an aluminum alloy with the following chemical composition is used:
aluminum is the main component;
zinc - 0,9-1,3 %;
iron - no more 0,3 %;
silicon - not more 0,3 %;
copper - not controlled;
manganese - not more 0,025 %;
Titanium - no more 0,15 %;
magnesium - not controlled;
other impurities, each - no more than 0,05 %.

4 The main sizes of aluminum tapes in accordance with GOST 13726-97

Aluminum tapes, depending on the brand of aluminum or aluminum alloy, are made in the following sizes.
4.1 Tapes without heat treatment from all grades of aluminum and aluminum alloys, listed in the section 2:
– thickness from 5,0 by 10,5 mm;
– width from 1000 by 2000 mm.
4.2 Annealed tapes from all grades of aluminum and aluminum alloys, listed in the section 2:
– thickness from 0,25 by 10,5 mm;
– width from 40 by 2000 mm.
4.3 Quarter-crimped strips of aluminum alloy AMg2:
– thickness from 0,3 by 4,0 mm;
– width from 1000 by 1500 mm.
4.4 Half-tape from aluminum alloys AMts, AMCs, D12, AMg2, AMg3 and aluminum grades A7, a6, A5, A0, AD0, AD1, FROM, AD00:
– thickness from 0,3 by 4,5 mm;
– width from 1000 by 1500 mm.
4.5 Three-quarter-cut strips of aluminum alloys Amts and AMg2:
– thickness from 0,3 by 4,0 mm;
– width from 1000 by 1500 mm.
4.6 Tapes made of aluminum alloys MM, AMC, AMCs, D12, AMg2, AMg3, AMg6 and aluminum grades A7, a6, A5, A0, AD0, AD1, FROM, AD00:
– thickness from 0,25 by 4,5 mm;
– width from 40 by 1500 mm.

5 Thickness deviations of aluminum strips

Details of the maximum deviations in sheet thickness - cm. table 2 GOST 13726-97.
For reference, symmetric thickness tolerances for sheets up to 1000 mm and thickness:
0,25-0,5 mm – ± 0.03 mm;
1,2-1,6 mm – ± 0.07 mm;
3,0 mm – ± 0.11 mm;
6,0-7,5 mm – ± 0.22 mm;
8,0-9,5 mm – ± 0.30 mm;
10,0-10,5 mm – ± 0.35 mm.

6 Cladding thickness requirements for aluminum strips

6.1 Thick tapes from 0,3 by 1,9 mm:
1) technological plating: no more 1,5 % from the thickness of the tape;
2) normal plating: not less 4,0 % from tape thickness.
6.2 Thick tapes over 1,9 by 10,5 mm:
1) technological plating: no more 1,5 % from the thickness of the tape;
2) normal plating: not less 2,0 % from tape thickness.

7 Flatness of aluminum tapes in accordance with GOST 13726-97

The flatness of the tapes is generally not controlled. The amount of non-flatness of the tapes, manufactured by rolling the required width, thickness from 0,2 by 0,8 mm agreed between manufacturer and consumer.

8 The surface quality of aluminum strips according to GOST 13726-97

9.1 The surface of the tapes must be glossy or matte., crack-free, Rvanina, bundles, bubbles, burnout, plaque nitrate, spots of corrosion origin, diffusion spots, slag inclusions, phases without plating (on tapes with normal plating).
